Day 1: Malaysia to NZ!

Okay! So after all the planning, confirming and booking with Aunty Jik, the time has finally come to fly! Truly blessed to have Mom, Pa and Kun Xiong send me off at KLIA. After all the goodbyes, it's time to board the plane.

Managed to get a seat next to the isle. Perfect! Flight was okay with a bit of turbulence once in a while. Didn't manage to get a 'cloud' shot but got a nice view of the areas surrounding Auckland Airport though! (Well you know, first time on an international flight =P) Had some concerned Kiwis on the way back warning me to be ready for cold weather, probably because they see me only in a Tshirt and jeans haha.

Hooray! We have touchdown! From the moment you step into the airport, multiple posters and ad boards warning travelers against bringing in prohibited stuff into New Zealand. They have very strict regulations on this, especially food. (NZD400 on the spot if found). Went through all the checkpoints without a glitch. *phew* Was expecting long questions from the Immigration and Customs. Here's an awesome arch that greets all visitors the moment we're off the plane.

Aunty Jik and Uncle Paul were already waiting for me at Arrivals. A short walk to the car park and we were soon on the way back home! (No photos on the way back, too busy chatting) One thing's for sure, the roads here are super smooth, you know, compared to the ones we have back in Malaysia =D.

Aunty Jik showed me around the house, my room, the bathroom, everywhere (woah, it's big). David joined us soon and basically just chilling, catching up. Meanwhile Aunt Jik went to get some food to cook for dinner. Here's the salmon before going in the oven. Beautiful NZ salmon! Didn't get to photograph dinner, but trust me, it was GREAT. Salmon, Hoki, mixed vege and rice. Yum!

After dinner and clearing up, just chilling and discussing plans for tomorrow. Aunty Jik prepared lots of warm gear for me, thermals, jackets, scarf, you name it. (Thank Kuku xoxo). Why? 12*C outside. Brrr.

Anyway, time to sleep, got a great day planned tomorrow!
